Welcome

Welcome to the website of the the Army LGBT Forum. This site is for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender soldiers and LGBT people thinking of joining the Army. The views expressed on this site are those of the Forum and not the Army.

The Army LGBT Forum offers the following services:

  • Social get-togethers and networking events
  • Peer support for those in need
  • Careers advice and courses
  • Advice to the Diversity Team about the way Army policy affects LGBT people
  • Encouragement and support to potential recruits
  • A private Facebook group for currently serving soldiers
  • A website and Twitter feed for news and information

The Forum is well supported by the staff in Army Employment and by senior officers. The current patron of the Forum is the Deputy Chief of the Defence Staff (Ops), Lieutenant General James Everard CBE.

An Army Briefing Note (ABN 83/13) about the Army LGBT Forum is available here.

Activities of the Forum include social events, meetings to discuss work issues, marching in London Pride, and interviews with the media.

Currently serving personnel can join a private Facebook group where further information on joining is available at www.facebook.com/ArmyLGBT.
